Terms and Conditions
Effective date: January 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and MEETER IT SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED ("Meetnote," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Meetnote website, application, browser extension, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If an organization has a separate written agreement with Meetnote, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.
2. The Services
Meetnote provides tools that can record, transcribe, summarize, organize, search, and store meeting content at your direction. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features from time to time. Some features may require a compatible device, browser, account, or connected platform.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate and current account information.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
- You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- You may not create an account or use the Services where doing so would violate applicable law.
4. Recording and participant consent
You are responsible for notifying meeting participants and obtaining all consents, permissions, and disclosures required before recording, transcribing, or otherwise processing a meeting. You must not use the Services to record or monitor people unlawfully or without the permissions required in the relevant location.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of recordings, transcripts, summaries, notes, and other content that you submit to or create through the Services ("User Content"). You give Meetnote a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display User Content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the Services you request.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and allow us to process it under these Terms. Meeting content is not used to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence or machine-learning models and is not used for advertising, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI-generated results
Transcripts, summaries, action items, answers, and other automated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or incorrectly attributed. You must review results before relying on them, sharing them, or using them to make decisions. The Services do not provide legal, medical, financial, employment, or other professional advice.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or harmful activity;
- record or process people without legally required notice or permission;
- infringe another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
- upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the Services;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell, or create a competing service from the Services; or
- use automated access in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the Services.
8. Third-party platforms
The Services may work with third-party meeting, browser, calendar, communication, or other platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies. Meetnote is not responsible for the availability, content, or actions of third-party platforms.
9. Plans, trials, and payments
If you purchase a paid plan, you agree to pay the prices, taxes, and other charges shown when you place your order. A trial or promotional offer may have additional conditions, including an end date or a conversion to a paid plan. Any renewal, cancellation, refund, or price-change terms shown at purchase form part of your agreement with us.
You may cancel a paid plan using the cancellation method provided with that plan. Cancellation generally applies at the end of the current billing period unless the applicable offer or law says otherwise.
10. Meetnote intellectual property
Meetnote owns or licenses the Services, including the software, design, branding, logos, documentation, and other materials we provide. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you. You may not use Meetnote branding without our prior written permission.
If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, provided that we do not identify you publicly as the source without your permission.
11. Privacy and deletion
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete meeting content using the deletion controls available in the Services. Deletion and residual backup retention are handled as described in that policy.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at every time or location. We may perform maintenance, address security issues, or change the Services without liability for resulting interruption, subject to applicable law.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay applicable charges, or if we discontinue the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
After termination, your right to use the Services ends. We may delete account or User Content in accordance with the Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms, will continue to apply.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim warranties that the Services will meet every requirement, produce accurate results, preserve every recording, or operate without interruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetnote will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the Services or these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetnote's total liability for claims arising from the Services or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to Meetnote for the Services during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meetnote and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your User Content, unauthorized recording, unlawful use of the Services, or violation of these Terms or another person's rights.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Telangana, India will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable law requires another forum or process. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer protections.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
19. General provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. These Terms and any applicable written order or organization agreement are the entire agreement about the Services.
